Manual Lymphatic Drainage
The Lymphatic System is a multifunctional system but generally regarded as the body’s Immune System – the body’s protection against infections. The Lymphatic System removes excess fluid, dead cells, bacteria, viruses and other waste products from the body tissues providing a healthier environment for all body cells. A malfuntioning system results in stagnation and congestion in the body tissues and therefore, deprivation of vital nutrients.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage boosts the Immune Sytem by enhancing the flow of lymph this in turn increases the elimination of toxins, reduces inflammation and promotes regeneration of tissue. For this reason it is also an ideal adjunct for pre- and post operative surgery.Read more

As an airline pilot, I’m exposed to reduced cabin pressure and low level of humidity on a day to day basis. This, combined with the stressing demands of the job and having to perform at your best, at times when you’d rather be asleep, means that I have to focus a lot on my health and fitness in my downtime. Whilst I do maintain a healthy level of fitness, I have experienced issues with my sinuses and disruption to general circadian rhythms, especially after long haul flights. Using LDT and acupuncture I’ve had reduced sinus discomfort, a healthier digestive system and better quality sleep. Highly recommended for individuals such as myself.
A “hands-on” session with Jan Moor can miraculously unblock a stiff joint or foot, which had seemed incurable despite repeated rounds of stretching and treatment from a variety of other disciplines. Though I am a very fit and active 70-year-old maintaining regular jogging, paddling, gym and stretch workouts, I have come to value the considerable benefit that Jan can bring through “manual lymphatic drainage”. A remarkably gentle movement across the skin with her experienced touch can bring miraculous relief. In my case, a swollen foot and ankle, which caused debilitating pain in the tendons were cured almost overnight, while manipulation in the neck brought crystal clarity to a “foggy” head and relieved any tension in the neck and shoulders.
Jan has been a great source of positive energy, healing and support to me over so many years. She’s a trusted HK gem who walks her talk and continues to inspire, educate and heal. A kind soul who sows her wisdom through her craft of lymphatic drainage, yoga and holistic everything. A reliable never-ending source of friendly health reminders to those of us who know better, but need a push!

Jan is one of the most knowledgeable and skilled therapists I have seen. I rely on her to help offset a compromised immune system and the effects of living in a polluted environment. Whether it is headache, muscle tension or general congestion, I always leave Jan feeling relaxed and able to get through the week.
“About a year ago I had a weird infection in my leg. It got a bit dramatic when the doctor implied that I might need my leg chopping off but then couldn’t actually pinpoint the cause. One of the treatments I had was lymphatic drainage, three sessions of that and the infection cleared up completely and I am, thankfully, still with leg.
The thing I remember most from those sessions is how amazingly relaxing they were. I am currently reading a meditation book and its references to relaxation reminded me of the treatment, so yesterday I went back for an hour session to remind myself of the experience. It was wonderful and so nice to be doing it without a mysterious ailment to worry about.
The treatment is like a gentle massage but rather than focusing on the muscles it focuses on the lymphatic system. The therapist is able to pinpoint blockages in the system and then works to free those blockages. I can feel the results there on the table but also a day later I can sense subtle differences, especially in my legs. The session has many benefits but more than anything it is so completely relaxing.
The place is in Central Hong Kong, called the Vitality Centre
The therapist is Jan Moor and you can find her e-mail on the centre’s website.”

“Following surgery on two occasions, I was recommended, by my doctors, to undertake lymphatic drainage. I have had lymphatic drainage with Jan Moor following both surgeries. I found that my recovery was considerably speeded up and swelling/fluid retention was much reduced as a result of treatment. The additional benefit I found was that it is very relaxing and seems to promote general well-being.”

“I have been seeing Jan on a regular basis due to problems with my arm after surgery and cancer treatments. I enjoy the sessions – they are very relaxing and I find Jan very professional, kind and involved with my healing. I now have much better range in my arm which is a direct result of the combination of Jan’s lymphetic drainage and myofascial therapy. I now come back for maintenance. I highly recommend Jan to anyone looking for professional lymphatic drainage.”
