Skin Health : THE POWER OF VEGETABLE OILS FOR STRETCH MARKS

Did you know that stretch marks can be dramatically diminished with the use of Vegetable oils?

It is possible to efficiently reduce these pinkish, brownish, or white marks with proper vegetable oil use and a bit of discipline.

What are stretch marks?

Visually speaking, stretch marks are small lines that go through the skin on the parts where the skin has been distended, most of the time after weight gain.

They are skin lesions that often occur at the dermis level and sometimes at the hypodermis layer (deep skin layer).

It means that the skin has ‘cracked’ on one or several areas of the body.
Some doctors even consider stretch marks to be actually scars.

Stretch marks are often, but not only, related to our teenage and pregnancy years.

The parts of our bodies most affected are usually the tummy, breasts for women, arms, shoulders, thighs and hips.

How the Vegetable oils work on stretch marks issues?

To repair the broken tissue (dermis and epidermis levels), it is necessary to work on the regeneration of the dermis and epidermis.

To understand the wonderful interaction between our body and the vegetable oils active compounds, please see this link.

Several oils are beneficial to this skin issue.

Argan oil and Grapeseed oils are rich in Omega 6, 7 and 9. They promote good cohesion among the skin cells as well as their regeneration and repair of the skin.

Rosehip seed oil, rich in Omega 3 and also composed of Omega 6, 7 and 9, plus A Vitamin molecule, helps the ‘scars’ or stretch marks reduction.

Shea butter (which is a vegetable oil that must not be used in case of latex allergy) is also full of Omegas 6, 7 and 9. Furthermore, it contains a molecule named butyrospermol, that contributes to maintaining skin elasticity.

Gentle massage of the stretch marks areas is crucial as it will allow:

  • Better skin penetration by the repairing oils,
  • The stimulation and hence regeneration of the broken cells of the dermis (and hypodermis if needed) thanks to the dedicated vegetable oils active compounds. The skin will then gradually start to rebuild. The stretch marks will start to fade little by little.

Here is the protocol to follow:

  • Use a serum made of the following ingredients:
40% of organic Argan vegetable oil
40% of Rosehip seeds vegetable oil
    20% of Grapeseed oil

(This serum is available on order at Vitality Center)

If you wish to make it by yourself, please remember to follow all the necessary sterilisation steps of your working area and all the instruments to use.

Twice per day, during the morning and the evening times, apply a few drops of the serum on each area with stretch marks. Gently massage each area for two minutes.

  • To increase the serum’s skin penetration, exfoliating the stretch-marked skin area with organic aloe vera gel, during the evening time only and before applying the serum, will remove dead cells and stimulate the elastin and collagen production inside the skin.

In short:

  • Morning: apply the serum, by massaging for two minutes on the stretch marks;
  • Evening: exfoliate the skin by spreading a small amount of Organic Aloe Vera gel (around the size of a 10-cent coin) over the stretch-marked areas. Let the aloe Vera gel dry for one to two minutes.
Then, apply the serum over the gel and massage for two minutes over each affected area.

And stick to the routine! Within two to three months, your skin aspect will improve with an attenuation of the stretch marks.
This treatment is to be maintained until the stretch marks have become nearly invisible.

For those who would like to avoid stretch marks, apply the same serum with gentle massage strokes, twice per day (morning and evening), for two minutes, on the areas of your body which are prone to stretch marks.
Nourished with the best vegetable oil molecules, stimulated by gentle massage, your skin will stay supple and will keep its elasticity.
